Melissa Schainker

A multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and vocalist, Melissa started her musical training in both show choirs and as a classically-trained trumpet player. She transitioned to guitar at age 19 and fell in love with the instrument. Now she switches between lead guitar and bass, in the continual pursuit of a new musical challenge. Her affinity for music stems back to her childhood in Indiana, where she grew up in a family of horn players and music-appreciators. Now in New York for over a decade, she helms the frontwoman position of Angel Grit with vast influences and a desire to make impactful music.

Eduardo Palacios

A graduate of Brooklyn College with a degree in Music Composition, Eduardo’s foundational expertise in theory informs his work across piano, guitar, bass, and synthesizers. While his compositions have been recorded by international classical ensembles like The Rhythm Method, his current focus lies in the raw energy of the New York hardcore, punk, and metal scenes. Whether he’s tracking intricate riffs or performing in the city’s DIY spaces, Eduardo’s versatility and academic rigor allow him to push the boundaries of aggressive music with precision and power.

Louis Iacobelli

A veteran drummer with a reputation for “9.8 on the Richter scale” power, Louis “Sweet Lou” Iacobelli was forged in the legendary clubs of New York City. A product of the Staten Island thrash scene in bands like Excaliber and Murder Machine, Lou has spent decades commanding stages at CBGBs, Bowery Electric, and Arlene’s Grocery. His extensive career includes a long tenure with Brother Dynamite and a prominent role in the NYC Zydeco circuit, proving a versatility that spans from dance halls to arena-rock fury. He has also been a driving force in Hazel Gaze and Jersey City’s Sea of Otters, Lou brings a relentless, primal energy to the kit, combining a lifetime of percussive expertise with the raw intensity required for modern hardcore and metal.
